We’re excited to announce that CoolLED is recruiting for a Prototype Technician to join our team.
As a Prototype Technician you are a critical link between innovation and reality. Your hands-on work directly accelerates the development of next-generation scientific instruments by transforming design concepts into functional, testable prototypes.
The purpose of this role is to support the companies prototyping and onboarding activities for NPI and OEM business growth.
Key aspects of the role include:
- Collaborate with Engineers to build and test prototype assemblies, components, and systems based on specifications, drawings, and work instructions.
- Provide feedback to the engineering team to improve manufacturability, performance, and cost-effectiveness of new designs.
- Modify and rework prototypes based on iterative design changes, troubleshooting issues as they arise.
- Support design-for-manufacture activities, including evaluating assembly processes, tolerances, and material suitability.
- Assist in creating and refining assembly documentation, procedures, and test protocols.
- Liaise with the production team to ensure successful transfer of prototype designs into scalable, repeatable production builds.
