responsible production

Our commitment to the environment runs through the entire organisation and we take our responsibility seriously.

We are constantly striving to ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns.

What have we achieved since 2021?

  • We use 100% renewable energy
  • Robust recycling scheme
  • LED office lighting (with PIR lighting in less frequented areas)
  • USBs accompanying our products now have sustainable housing and recycled plastic bag packaging
  • Non-bleached recycled paper if we absolutely need to print
  • Carbon offsetting our shipping
  • ACT Label certification and reduced environmental impact score

How do we measure up?

  • The pE-300 Series and pE-400 Series is ACT Label certified
  • With almost 40% of energy at university campuses being used by laboratories, steps need to be taken to increase the sustainability of lab technology.
  • We have strived to achieve ACT Label accreditation for our most popular microscope illumination systems.

What is ACT?

Introduced by My Green Lab, the ACT Label stands for accountability, consistency and transparency. It’s a means of measuring the Environmental Impact Factor of a product by reviewing the environmental impact of the product itself, its manufacturing process, packaging and disposal.

Why have ACT labelled products in your lab?

It allows institutions to purchase lab equipment with the knowledge they are not only helping the world they live in-but keeping energy, water and disposal costs down for themselves.

Further information is available on the My Green Lab website.
