About the Role
As the Key Account Manager, you will be the primary point of contact for strategic customers. You’ll build and expand relationships at every organisational level to develop a deep understanding of customer needs. By proposing effective solutions, working closely with internal teams, delivering on strategic account plans and customer deadlines, you will foster long term partnerships that deliver growth and customer success.
Among other responsibilities, as a Key Account Manager you will contribute to our success by:
• Driving revenue and profit growth with strategic accounts.
• Defining, developing and implementing strategic plans, including sales growth, pipeline development, relationship management and strategic collaborations.
• Gathering feedback from the market and developing business cases.
• Travel internationally & within your territory to maximise key customer contact.
• Following up on enquiries made in response to our comprehensive and targeted marketing campaigns including representing company at exhibitions.
• Preparing and presenting sales internal reports & budgets
• Preparing customer reports and presentations for internal & external use
We think this position is right for you if…
• You have at least 3 years of successful account management experience, ideally as a Key Account Manager, or in a similar, role.
• You are an effective communicator who can build strategic relationships across all levels of the organisation, deliver presentations and write reports / proposals.
• You have strong negotiation and influencing skills, capable of navigating complex relationships to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
• You are self-motivated and proactive, with a passion for delivering growth and exceptional service.
• You are comfortable working with technical teams (external and internal) and communicating product benefits.
• You have a disciplined approach to multitasking and organising your workload to meet deadlines
• You have proficiency in CRM systems and Office 365 packages, to manage information, track activities, produce presentations and reports.
• Able to travel nationally and internationally (up to 70% at busy times) with overnight stays.
• Experience of working in a scientific or technical industry, or a degree in a related field will be advantageous.
