Recent developments in the application of LED technology have resulted in illumination systems offering increased brightness for fluorescence microscopy. With a need for intensities to excite common fluorophores such as DAPI, FITC and the growing range of RFPs, the ability to excite into the ultra violet (UV) and near infra-red (NIR) is both desirable and becoming possible.
The pE-4000 represents the ultimate in capability and functionality of any fluorescence illumination system. Advanced research applications and multi user laboratories will benefit from the intuitive controls which can be as simple or complex as the user requires. With 16 selectable LED wavelengths from 365nm to 770nm, it is compatible with all single and multi-band filter sets. The system can be specified with a 3mm diameter LLG or with a choice of multimode fiber. An adaptor kit for the user to switch between LLG and fiber is available. A range of additional functions, such as analogue control, are available.
LED illumination means a reduced environmental footprint, reduced operating costs, more convenient use, and a level of control and functionality which mercury based illuminators cannot offer.
All CoolLED systems use active-air cooling to ensure stability and repeatability in performance. Integration into popular imaging software for remote control is standard on the pE-4000.
