Following a short period working as an electronic engineer; designing and deploying the electronic hardware used in the CoolLED pE-800 Light Source, Western was promoted to Engineering Manager becoming part of the CoolLED Leadership Team.
Previously, Western gained 15 years of electronic design and manufacturing experience working predominantly in the automotive sector. Western spent several years serving as a project manager for a first-tier supplier to major global automotive companies. During this period, he successfully managed the design and high-volume production of electronic body control modules fitted to various General Motors and Volkswagen vehicles manufactured in South Africa. Western also served as the Operations Manager for a leading vehicle tracking and telematics company servicing both commercial and consumer customers in South Africa.
Today, Western is charged with overseeing all the engineering activities related to the conversion of core CoolLED technologies into the world’s finest light sources.
