CoolLED has upgraded its optical adjustment system for the pE-400 Series direct fit variants, enhancing both optical precision and ease of use.
Coupling directly to the microscope, direct fit Illumination Systems increase irradiance at the sample plane, while also avoiding the ongoing cost of a liquid light guide.
On mounting the Illumination System, a once-only adjustment of the light path is vital to optimise image quality for the specific microscope used.
Previously, this fine-tuning relied on a thumb-screw mechanism, which could occasionally lead to slight shifts during tightening, resulting in focus loss. The latest upgrade introduces a more secure optical adjuster at the light output barrel, ensuring that once perfect position is achieved, it stays locked in place. This not only enhances image quality but also simplifies the user experience, making the necessary adjustment simple and reliable.
This refinement is part of CoolLED’s continuous improvement programme, empowering researchers and clinicians with effortless, high-quality fluorescence imaging.
