Celebrating 10 Years of Lisa Cairns at CoolLED
This month, we are delighted to celebrate a very special milestone at CoolLED as Lisa Cairns, our Business Support Manager, marks 10 years with the company.
Over the past decade, Lisa has become one of those truly indispensable people that every company relies on. If you need to know what is happening, how something works, who to speak to, or need a voice of calm or a sounding board for ideas – there’s a very good chance Lisa already knows the answer. Calm, knowledgeable and endlessly dependable, she’s become a central part of day-to-day life at CoolLED and a huge part of what keeps the business running smoothly behind the scenes.
As Business Support Manager, Lisa plays a vital role across the company, helping to coordinate activity, support projects, and make sure the many moving parts of the business stay connected. She’s also a key part of our world-class business support team, whose work underpins so much of what we do.
2016 – 2026
Lisa joined CoolLED in 2016 as Quality & Compliance Manager, bringing with her a strong focus on systems, standards and continuous improvement. One of her early achievements was implementing the company’s ISO 9001 quality management system, with certification successfully achieved in 2017.
That same year, Lisa was promoted to Quality & Customer Services Manager, expanding her role to include responsibility for the customer service team. It was a move that reflected both her wide-ranging knowledge of the business and her ability to support teams across different areas.
In 2020, Lisa stepped into her current role as Business Support Manager, taking on an even broader remit across the company. Alongside her existing responsibilities, her role grew to include HR, administration, health and safety, premises and IT, further cementing her position as one of CoolLED’s key organisational figures.
Alongside her day-to-day role, Lisa has also continued to develop academically. In 2021, she was awarded an MBA with Distinction. Her dissertation explored inclusive leadership, psychological safety, and the positive impact both can have on innovation.
Lisa has also co-authored an academic article on the use of data insights in SMEs, adding another impressive achievement to an already wide-ranging career.
Her knowledge, commitment and steady presence have made her the go-to person for colleagues across the company. Whether it’s a practical question, advice or ideas, or a moment of last-minute problem solving, Lisa is someone people know they can count on.

Reaching 10 years with any company is a fantastic achievement, and also a reflection of the contribution someone has made along the way. Lisa has played an important part in CoolLED’s journey over the last decade, and we are incredibly grateful for everything she has done and continues to do.
And, in true Lisa fashion, the celebrations do not stop there. Alongside her 10 year work anniversary, she also recently picked up the Best Outfit award during our Red Nose Day celebrations, proving that excellent business support and excellent style can, in fact, go hand in hand.
