We like to do things a little differently, so this year’s CoolLED team building away day was something out of the ordinary.
Firstly, a special thank you to Adam Westmacott from Olympus who gave us a fantastic insight into life on the road working as a Sales Manager for one of the most successful microscopy companies! We’ve had a lot of new recruits recently, and the talk gave everyone a brilliant grounding in fluorescence microscopy, plus more detailed industry trends so even our ‘techies’ were getting involved in the discussion by the end.
We then spent a while looking into our different personality types to get a better idea of the strengths we each play to in a team, and after lunch it was time to let our competitive streaks run wild with team games – including human table football, inflatable pony racing and logic puzzles.
Teamwork really is at the heart of CoolLED. It’s what drives us to go above and beyond, innovate new technologies and to be there when our customers need us. So it was extremely valuable to spend a day getting to know our colleagues a little better, especially across different departments.
