How to control the pE-800 Illumination System in your imaging software
One of the benefits of modern LED microscopy illumination systems is the ability to control them in imaging software. Since the launch of the 8-channel pE-800 Microscopy Illumination System in 2020, we have been working closely alongside third-party imaging software providers to ensure the pE-800 is fully integrated into all major imaging software programs.
As of May 2021, we are pleased to announce the pE-800 is fully supported in:
-
Nikon NIS Elements
-
µManager
-
Hamamatsu HCImage
-
Inscoper
Learn how to configure your imaging software for the pE-800 Illumination System
To help users quickly configure their imaging software and set up an imaging experiment, a range of resources are available, including new Video Tutorials:
How to control the pE-800 if not yet supported by your imaging software
For software where the pE-800 is not yet fully supported, control can instead be achieved using the pE-6501-8 USB controlled TTL trigger box. With TTL triggering speeds of <7 µs, this approach also allows high-speed imaging and reduces phototoxicity and photobleaching.
To help users quickly configure these set-ups, we have Video Tutorials available for Olympus cellSens and Molecular Devices MetaMorph:
