EACR 2026 – European Association for Cancer Research – Budapest, Hungary
The EACR 2026 Congress is one of Europe’s leading cancer research meetings, bringing together scientists, researchers and technology specialists to explore the latest developments in cancer science. Taking place from 8–11 June 2026 at HUNGEXPO Budapest Congress and Exhibition Centre, the congress is dedicated to basic, preclinical and translational cancer research across a wide range of topics
We’ll be bringing a range of our LED Illumination Systems with us, from the pE-300ultra and pE-400max (perfect for routine to advanced fluorescence) to the 8-channel pE-800.
Whatever your fluorescence needs, we’ve got you covered.
EACR will also see the official European launch of our brand new pE-10
Delivering fast, repeatable multi-wavelength excitation from 365-850 nm, the pE-10 provides OEMs with a competitive advantage by generating reproducible, high-plex data and advancing spatial biology applications, from discovery to drug development and digital pathology.
If your work involves fluorescence imaging, high-content workflows or multi-label experiments, be sure to stop by and speak with the CoolLED team. Our LED Illumination Systems are designed to deliver the speed, stability and spectral flexibility needed for demanding imaging applications, helping researchers capture high-quality data with confidence.

pE-10
Delivering fast, repeatable multi-wavelength excitation from 365-850 nm, the pE-10 provides OEMs with a competitive advantage by generating reproducible, high-plex data and advancing spatial biology applications, from discovery to drug development and digital pathology.

pE-400 Series
The pE-400 Series delivers the most advanced yet cost-effective illumination for routine to advanced fluorescence microscopy applications. Four powerful LEDs offer broad spectral coverage from 365-635 nm for use with fluorophores ranging from DAPI through YFP to Cy5.

pE-800
The arrival of the pE-800 sees LEDs take centre stage as the widefield illumination method of choice. Featuring eight individually controllable LEDs and lightning fast TTL switching; the pE-800 delivers the highest quality data with minimum total cost of ownership.

pE-300 Series
The pE-300 Series is a range of LED Illumination Systems for fluorescence, optogenetics, electrophysiology and high-speed microscopy applications.
It comprises three individual systems, providing a solution that covers a wide range of everyday fluorescence microscopy.

Things To Do in Budapest
If you’re travelling to EACR 2026, Budapest is a brilliant city to spend a little extra time in. Split by the Danube and known for its grand architecture, historic landmarks and famous thermal baths, Hungary’s capital combines striking scenery with a lively cultural atmosphere. Its rich history, riverside views and distinctive character make it a memorable setting beyond the exhibition hall.
| Activity | Why go | Suggested tips |
|---|---|---|
| Explore the Buda Castle District | One of Budapest’s best-known historic areas, the Buda Castle District offers cobbled streets, viewpoints, heritage buildings and sweeping views over the Danube. It is part of a UNESCO World Heritage setting and makes a classic first stop in the city. (Budapest Info) | Ideal if you have half a day free. Wear comfortable shoes, as the area is hilly and best enjoyed at a relaxed pace. |
| See the Hungarian Parliament | The Parliament building is one of Budapest’s most iconic sights, sitting directly on the Danube and forming part of the city’s famous skyline. It is one of the city’s defining landmarks and especially impressive from the river or opposite bank. (Budapest Info) | Great for photos and easy to pair with a riverside walk. Best seen in daylight, but also worth viewing lit up in the evening. |
| Visit Széchenyi Thermal Bath | Budapest is famous for its bath culture, and Széchenyi is one of its most recognisable thermal bath complexes. It is a classic Budapest experience and a good way to unwind after a full day at the congress. (Budapest Info) | Bring flip-flops and allow plenty of time rather than treating it as a quick stop. |
| Take in the city from the Danube | The Danube is central to Budapest’s identity, and seeing the city from the river gives you a different view of landmarks such as Parliament, Buda Castle and the bridges linking Buda and Pest. (Budapest Info) | A good option for an evening if you want something memorable without planning a full sightseeing day. |
| Spend time around City Park | City Park offers green space, attractions and one of Budapest’s best-known leisure areas, making it an easy choice if you want something relaxed outside the congress venue. It also pairs naturally with a visit to Széchenyi Bath. (Budapest Info) | Good for a lighter afternoon or early evening, especially if you want a break from conference halls and city streets. |
