After testing the CoolLED LED Illumination Systems, we decided to buy two CoolLED pE-300lite light sources to replace our old mercury excitation lamps. We use one of the light sources for a dissecting microscope, and the other for a 2-photon microscope. We are extremely satisfied with the products in that they are very bright and easy to use. The remote intensity adjustment is extremely convenient and the compact sizes are truly an advantage for environments with restricted space, like most laboratories.
