CoolLED is very proud to be collaborating with the University of Strathclyde once more. We’re excited to announce that Mollie McFarlane will be working with us on a new research project.
Mollie is a PhD student at the University of Strathclyde at the start of a 4-year studentship funded by Medical Research Scotland and CoolLED. Before graduating with a 1st class honours degree in physics, Mollie gained experience in both research and industry with a particular interest in the biomedical applications of physics. Her previous research projects focus on both nanobiotechnology, specifically the application of nanoparticles in cancer diagnosis, and medical device design for use during surgery.
Mollie joins CoolLED in investigating the applications of UV LEDs in biomedical optical imaging.
Outside of university life, Mollie enjoys going to the theatre and practising piano.
