Celebrating 10 Years of Paul Hardy
Some people become part of a company. Others become part of the furniture.
If you’ve spent any time at CoolLED over the past decade, you’ll know that Paul Hardy somehow manages to be both.
And while we’re celebrating Paul’s 10 years as an official CoolLED employee, his story with the company stretches back even further.
Before joining the payroll, Paul worked with CoolLED on a freelance basis and supported the business during its earlier years. Not long after CoolLED became part of the Judges Scientific Group, he officially joined the team, and we’ve all benefited from that decision ever since.

A Man of Many Talents
As the entirety of our Accounts department, Paul somehow keeps the financial side of the business running with an effortless calm that most of us can only dream of.
Invoices, payments, purchase orders, expenses, budgets… whatever needs sorting, chances are Paul either already has it under control or solved it before anyone else realised there was a problem.
He’s one of those rare people who always seems to know the answer. Whether it’s a question about an invoice from six months ago, an obscure supplier detail or a piece of company history from years gone by, Paul’s knowledge is legendary.
If he doesn’t know it, there’s a good chance nobody does.
A Calm Head and a Dry Sense of Humour
Paul’s contribution goes well beyond numbers and spreadsheets. Around CoolLED, he’s one of the most familiar and well-loved faces in the building. He’s a calm voice when things get busy, the person who quietly gets things done without fuss, and someone who has helped countless colleagues over the years with patience, good humour and plenty of common sense.
Anyone who’s exchanged a few words with him will know his wonderfully dry wit and perfectly timed sarcastic comeback. Usually delivered with impeccable timing and a completely straight face, they’re part of what makes working with Paul such a pleasure.
He has a knack for saying exactly what everyone else is thinking and somehow getting away with it!
So today we’d like to say a huge thank you to Paul for his dedication, loyalty and the countless ways he’s supported both the business and everyone who works here.
Congratulations on your 10-year anniversary.
