It is with great pleasure that CoolLED welcomes Tim Sulman to the team. Tim will be responsible for Product Development within the R & D department.
Tim undertook his apprenticeship as a Weapons Engineering Artificer in the Royal Navy, primarily maintaining the Sea Wolf missile system. On leaving the forces, he applied his control engineering background to selling and implementing mechatronic solutions to a wide variety of industrial applications around the world. Tim then pursued his interest in innovation and through the “Fellowship in Manufacturing Management” at Cranfield University, assisted small businesses to launch new products. Following this, he was then responsible for running several new product development and technical projects, including marine autopilots, radar and Air Traffic Control systems, gaining PRINCE2 & APMP certification. Tim then moved to Honeywell, initially to improve the quality of new gas detection products being developed. Following Design for Six Sigma Black Belt certification, he was made responsible for improving the quality of the process by which products are realised across Honeywell’s Sensing & Productivity Solutions division. Tim is currently studying for an MSc in “Systems Thinking in Practice” with the Open University.
Outside work Tim is a qualified Yachtmaster and takes a keen interest in all things maritime, sailing his boat whenever he can, as well as delivering larger yachts internationally.
