CoolLED’s Engineering team has just gained a new problem-solver
With a talent for turning ideas into reality, Chin-Ching Pang joins us as a mechanical engineer, tasked with making sure every product that leaves our doors has been put through its paces… and then a few extra, just to be certain.
From Hong Kong Optics to Hands-On Testing
Chin-Ching began his career in Hong Kong, spending two years in R&D focused on optical systems. Working from a mechanical engineer’s perspective, he fine-tuned housing designs, alignment fixtures and thermal solutions..
After relocating to the UK, he broadened his experience in manufacturing and laboratory environments, where the test rigs are loud, the checklists are long and the tea breaks are brief. That background makes him a natural fit for his new mission at CoolLED: designing rigorous test procedures, diagnosing performance hiccups and inventing smarter ways to troubleshoot.
If there’s a strange vibration, an unexpected heat spike or a bolt trying to work loose, Chin-Ching is already sketching a fixture to catch it in the act.

Energy on and off the Pitch
Football and volleyball keep him quick on his feet and quicker in decision-making and, in the evenings, often end with a well-earned session of his favourite video games, where problem-solving skills transfer neatly from the bench to the digital battlefield (though the explosions are thankfully virtual).
Looking Ahead
By combining mechanical design know-how with a passion for root-cause analysis, Chin-Ching strengthens our ability to spot issues early and ship products that perform flawlessly in the field.
Please join us in welcoming Chin-Ching Pang. Whether you need a second opinion on torque specs, a teammate for volleyball or advice on the best co-op strategy for the latest game release, he’s ready to help. We’re delighted he’s chosen to bring his skills to CoolLED.
